Your Name Here!!

We are actively hiring talented graduate students, postdocs, and visiting scholars who wish to become part of our swarm.

Our group brings together people from diverse backgrounds and training. What unites us is curiosity, rigor, and generosity. We work at the intersection of geometry, chemistry, physics, and engineering to uncover the non-intuitive behavior of discontinuous, many-particle matter—and to turn those insights into useful devices. Our mentoring goal is simple: help every member grow into an independent thinker, a careful maker, and a collaborative teammate.

If you’re excited to use geometry and topology as a design language, to blend computation with synthesis and fabrication, and to push automated measurement and data-driven discovery, you’ll fit right in. We welcome applicants from materials science, chemistry, physics, mechanical and chemical engineering, and data/computation; you do not need experience in every area—bring your strengths and a willingness to learn.

Actively recruiting directions: computational inverse design, autonomous/closed-loop measurement, microscopic colloidal machines, and deployable tangled structures.
